Selected CARELA Group products were awarded the following Halal Certificates:
Good to know: Halal means “permissible”. A product is halal if it adheres to Islamic law.
The term halal is often used when referring to food products. Food is considered halal if it fulfils Muslim dietary standards. To fulfil these regulations, the production conditions play an important role, too. Any products used for cleaning surfaces, tools, machines or other devices that come into contact with halal food during the production process must comply with halal rules.
The halal certified CARELA Group products have been approved for this purpose and can be applied in these areas. Using our products to clean and disinfect tools and food facilities efficiently and professionally you ensure a hygienically safe production of halal food.
Which requirements do halal certified products need to meet?
To be awarded with a Halal Certificate, a product has to fulfil very high standards. Halal products must not contain ethanol or animal products. In addition, the risk of contamination with any substance must be completely ruled out during the whole production process.
The COVID-19 pandemic significantly increased the demand for disinfection products. However, not all offered disinfectants can be used by everyone. For example, the WHO recommends using disinfectant that contains ethanol, which does not conform to Islamic law. The disinfectants developed by the CARELA Group are non-alcoholic and provide many more advantages.
